NEW DELHI: ICC Champions Trophy will formally kick off from September 22 in South Africa, while the event’s unveiling ceremony held here was participated by Wasim Akram and Sanjay Manjrikar.
ICC Champions Trophy is beginning September 22 in South Africa, which the cricket world is anxiously awaiting and all eyes are focused on the Gold and Silver Trophy, as to which team is going to lift.
The glittering trophy’s unveiling ceremony was held here, when Pakistan’s former captain Wasim Akram and former Indian test cricketer Sanjay Manjrikar were present, while ICC was represented by its General manager Cambell Jemison, who said that hard work has been done for making the event successful and he firmly believed that it would a memorable event,
Eight best teams of the world are participating in the Champions Trophy, while excellent arrangements have been made for the event.
Wasim Akram on this occasion said that South African wickets would be bouncy and fast, therefore, it would be a trying event for the Asian players.
